The Village of Greenwood residents receives both water and sewer services from the Greenwood Water/Sewer Utility which is owned by the Municipality of Kings County.
Residents need to contact the Public Works Department of the Municipality of County of Kings to arrange for water hookup and billing information.

The streets in the Village of Greenwood are owned and operated by the Department of Transportation. Some newer streets are maintained by the Municipality of Kings County.

The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining all community greenspaces, including regular mowing and upkeep of areas like the Civic Field and the soccer field. Their ongoing work ensures these public spaces remain clean, safe, and enjoyable for residents and visitors to use for recreation, sports, and community events.
The Village of Greenwood owns and maintains the sidewalk within the village boundary. Public works crew makes every effort to ensure the sidewalks are cleared of snow as soon as possible following snow storms.
The Village of Greenwood uses LED Streetlights. The LED Streetlights significantly decrease our power consumption and will be more cost effective, as well as help the environment by lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
